“A Wider World” Muskegon Adaptive Luge from James Saliba on Vimeo.
Muskegon Luge is having an adaptive luge clinic in Muskegon January 3rd 2012. There will be 1 and 2 man sleds along with cross country skiing. It is very safe and a lot of fun. The clinic is free to both you and if you are doing the 2 man your teammate (spouse, friend ext…) but space is limited so let me know.
Luge is the only sport that being a paraplegic or amputee is an advantage. Our strong upper body gives us faster starts and our legs not moving make us a lot faster on the track. Luge is a very small sport and USA Luge is willing to support us by giving adaptive athletes an equal chance to compete for spots on the able body team. Yes someday we could have a wheelchair athlete in the Olympics!!!
Come join us for a day of great winter fun at the Muskegon State Park, Michigan’s most wheelchair accessible State Park for more info on the park visit www.msports.org or for adaptive sports info www.back2sports.net
