Currently, the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex maintains approximately 16 kilometers of trail system for cross country skiing. A majority of our terrain is gentle and winds through the woods, along the dunes, Lost Lake bog and nearby Lake Michigan allowing you to explore a variety of terrain and natural features of the Muskegon State Park. The trails are groomed and tracked daily when conditions allow, after each snowfall and on the weekends for some of the best striding and skate skiing in Western Michigan. We offer PSIA certified ski instruction during the winter if you are interested. We also have Fischer ski rentals as well as snowshoe rentals and are surrounded by hundreds of acres of the forests, dunes, Lake Michigan, and inter-dunal lake for you to discover.  Our trails are open and lighted to the public 7 days a week 10:00 am to 10:00pm weather permitting.  Lights are turned on at dusk and off at 10:00pm.

We do not allow anyone to snow shoe on our cross country ski trails, as they are groomed for skiing only.

**We love dogs here at the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex and they are allowed in the park as long as they are on a leash at all times and you clean up after them with your own bags.  But dogs are not allowed on the cross country ski trails, ice rinks, or in the lodge.  Dogs are welcome on the snow shoe trails.
