Young children love new family sledding area. It was designed for young children and their parents, although all ages are allowed. The sledding hill is located beside the ice rinks for parents who want to keep an eye on their children while skating.
There is no charge for the sledding hill, although we do encourage making a trip into the lodge and buying a round of hot chocolate for your family when you visit! If you are looking for a more extreme sledding experience you, can visit the Sugar Bowl Dune which is still located in Muskegon State Park approximately 2 miles south of our entrance. Parking there is on the east side of the road and the hill is approximately 1/8 mile south of Memorial Drive.
Sorry, snowboards and metal runnered sleds are not allowed on our sledding hill at the Complex. For those looking for a much bigger sledding hill, located 2 miles south of our entrance and within the park is the Sugar Bowl Dune. This is one of the biggest open faced dunes in the area. There is no warming shelter at this location so dress for the elements.
