A Bavarian Celebration with Michigan’s Longest Beer Tasting Trail

Celebrate fall in true Bavarian style at Muskegon Winter Sports Complex. Enjoy classic German music, food and traditions along Michigan’s longest beer trail of local craft breweries. O’zapft is! (It’s tapped!) drink the first beer as we tap the kegs on Friday night. Saturday evening, hit the beer trail for a taste of a variety of local beers and wines and hear the sounds of Ein Prosit and other local musicians.

Friday Night Tapping of the KOktoberfesteg

Join us the night before the big celebration as we tap the first kegs. This is an Oktoberfest tradition and you wont want to miss the first tastes of our exclusive Oktoberfest beers! The best part is, Friday night is FREE!

Saturday  Trail Quest Volksmarch

Volksmarch is a German tradition of hiking with friends. We’ve combined this tradition with the Sports Complex newest activity Trail Quest. Get out before the festivities begin and compete in the Volksmarch Trail Quest.

Sample beers along the trails at the Sports Complex, the longest beer tasting trail in Michigan. Stop at five different German inspired biergartens with games and music. Four specially brewed Oktoberfest beers will be available from various local breweries.

oktob14Enjoy music from a traditional German band, at the mainstage during the day. Dance and sing while you sip some of your favorite beers from the tasting trail. And after the biergartens close, this is where the party is gets started with our headlining act.

Camp for the Weekend Across the Street

There’s no better way to celebrate Michigan’s fall season than camping in Muskegon State Park. There’s no need to park or drive to the party.  Camp sites are very limited, so don’t delay. Reserve a camp site  now.

Parking and Shuttle Service

We have a limited number of parking spaces available at the Sports Complex. If you wish to park at the Sports Complex you must buy a VIP Parking pass along with your ticket. Remember, parking at the Sports Complex  or anywhere inside Muskegon State Park also requires a Recreation Passport.

Don’t worry. If you can’t park at the Sports Complex you can take a shuttle from nearby. Shuttle service will be available from Pioneer Park, The Muskegon State Park beach parking lot and the Block House Friday and Downtown on Saturday. Stay tuned for more information on shuttle services.

Get Your Early Bird Season Passes

Oktoberfest is the best time to get your family season passes for the Winter Sports Complex. Save money by purchasing your passes at Oktoberfest for only $150. Prices increase after Oktoberfest. A family season pass is good for your entire household to xc ski, skate or snowshoe all season long. Equipment rental can be added for an additional $30 per person.
